These tektites are tumbled and are part smooth and part pitted from the intense heat they have been subjected to.Tektites or Cosmic Rock, where does it really come from, and how.

There is no doubt that cosmic debris in the form of tektite does fall to earth from outer space, I have had personal experience of it!!! But do these tektites found around meteor impact sites, actually fall as they are, or do they form during the meteor impact.

Meteoritic silica glass is found generally around sites of meteor impact, thus the theory is that when a meteor strikes the earth there is a ‘splash effect’ of the super hot meteor rock as it impacts the earth, which can then cause surrounding rock and mineral to be heated and thrown with the splash effect for miles around. It is as yet unproven, and many tektites, which have no crystalline structure, are found as whole pieces with an irregular surface structure symptomatic of intense heat.

The name tektite is from the Greek word ‘tektos’ meaning ‘molten’. Metaphysical Properties of Tektites. In a metaphysical sense the tektite has much to teach us, it has traveled far and been subject to the hottest of fiery furnaces, and has been tempered with knowledge the kind of which we can only dream about. It is no wonder the tektite has the reputation for being a tool of telepathic transference.
